Job Description
Job Summary • To provide reservoir engineering expertise across the asset lifecycle, integrating subsurface and surface data to support reservoir analysis, optimize production, and maximize hydrocarbon recovery.
• The role contributes to field development planning, reservoir characterization, reserves estimation, and technical assurance to drive efficient operations and sustainable value creation.
Requirements
Minimum Qualification
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Petroleum, Chemical or a related discipline.
• Minimum Years of Experience and Relevant Areas:
• 8-12 years of relevant engineering experience in Oil & Gas Upstream Operating or Servicing Company.
Proven Experience in:
• Exploration & Production (E&P) – including Data Room participation, application of standard workflows, and best practices for subsurface studies and reservoir asset development
• Field Development Planning (FDPs) - including well placement, depletion strategy design, and economic evaluation (NPV/IRR delivery)
• Integrated Asset Teams - data integration and interpretation (well tests, PVT, logs, production, core data) to support robust reservoir models, field surveillance and management by collaborating with geoscience, drilling, and production functions to deliver aligned field development outcomes.
• Identifying & Managing Reservoir Uncertainties - delivering risk-based development strategies and probabilistic forecasts (P10 – P90)
• Mature Field Management and Brownfield Optimization - including decline management and recovery factor improvement
• Compliance & Standards – application of international and national regulations, including Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Petroleum Resources Management System (PRMS) guidelines, Nigeria National Standards for Reserves Reporting (NNS), Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), ISO, Total Quality Management (TQM) standards.
