About the Role
Our client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Home Care Nurse to provide specialized medical care to children in their homes within the Aba, Abia, NG area. This vital role involves administering treatments, monitoring vital signs, managing medications, and providing emotional support to pediatric patients and their families. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric nursing, exceptional clinical skills, and a deep sense of empathy. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care is delivered in a home setting. Key Responsibilities Provide skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in their homes, according to physician's orders and established care plans. Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed. Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, reporting any changes to the physician. Educate families on the child's condition, treatment plan, and home care management. Manage and maintain medical equipment used in the home. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families. Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records. Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team. Ensure adherence to infection control policies and procedures. Respond to emergency situations as needed, providing appropriate interventions. Requirements A registered nurse (RN) license in Nigeria. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in pediatric nursing, with specific experience in home care or critical care. Proficiency in administering a wide range of pediatric treatments and managing chronic conditions. Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
