Job Description
We are looking for a proactive, commercially driven, and results-oriented Business Development Executive to support the growth of our Engineering, Procurement, Installation, and Commissioning (EPIC) business within the Oil & Gas sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, driving tender participation, and supporting the preparation and submission of competitive technical and commercial bids. The role requires strong industry knowledge, high commercial awareness, and the ability to operate effectively within a structured EPC/EPIC project environment.
This position plays a key role in expanding the company’s market presence across upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas operations, as well as related industrial and energy infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities1. Business Development & Market Expansion
• Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities within the Oil & Gas, energy, and industrial engineering sectors.
• Conduct continuous market research to identify upcoming projects, client needs, and industry trends.
• Map potential clients including IOC’s, indigenous oil and gas companies, EPC contractors, OEMs, and government agencies.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities aligned with company capabilities.
• Support development of business growth strategies and expansion plans.
2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target organizations.
• Conduct regular client visits, engagement meetings, and technical presentations.
• Serve as the point of contact for new business inquiries and commercial discussions.
• Strengthen existing client relationships to drive repeat business and contract extensions.
• Maintain accurate client profiles and engagement records.
3. Tendering & Bid Support
• Monitor and identify relevant tender opportunities on platforms such as NipeX, Ariba, SAP Ariba, OEM portals, and other procurement systems.
• Support the preparation of Expressions of Interest (EOIs), prequalification documents, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, finance, and operations teams to develop competitive proposals.
• Assist in preparing commercial quotations, pricing schedules, and bid documentation.
• Ensure all submissions are compliant, accurate, and delivered within deadlines.
4. Proposal Development & Commercial Input
• Support the development of high-quality technical and commercial proposals.
• Assist in preparing pricing models and cost breakdowns in collaboration with finance and procurement.
• Contribute to margin analysis and commercial evaluation of opportunities.
• Ensure alignment of proposals with client requirements and company strategy.
• Maintain consistency and professionalism in all submitted documentation.
5. Sales Pipeline Management & Reporting
• Maintain an updated and structured business development pipeline.
• Track all opportunities from lead generation to award stage.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on business development activities.
• Provide accurate forecasting of potential revenue contributions.
• Monitor conversion rates and provide insights for improvement.
6. Stakeholder Coordination
• Coordinate internally with engineering, project management, procurement, finance, and legal teams during bid preparation.
• Liaise with external partners, subcontractors, and OEMs where required.
• Support smooth transition of awarded projects to the execution team.
7. Industry Intelligence & Positioning
• Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and market dynamics in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Provide feedback to management on market conditions and opportunities.
• Support the development of company capability statements, presentations, and marketing materials.
• Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and client forums when required.
8. Contract & Commercial Support
• Assist in reviewing tender documents, contracts, and commercial terms.
• Support negotiation processes with clients under management supervision.
• Ensure clarity of scope and deliverables during pre-award stages.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience
