About the Role
Our client, a leading e-commerce platform, is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Head of Performance Marketing to lead their paid acquisition efforts based in Abuja . This senior role will be responsible for driving measurable growth through highly effective paid media strategies across various channels including Search, Social, Display, and Affiliates. You will lead a team of specialists, manage significant budgets, and continuously optimize campaigns to achieve aggressive KPIs. The ideal candidate thrives in a data-driven environment and possesses a deep understanding of attribution modeling, A/B testing, and performance analytics. This is a critical leadership position within a fast-paced and innovative company.
Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a data-driven performance marketing strategy to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth. Manage and oversee all paid media channels, including Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, programmatic advertising, and affiliate marketing. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of performance marketing specialists. Set clear performance targets, track KPIs, and ensure campaigns are optimized for maximum ROI. Manage and allocate the performance marketing budget efficiently, ensuring accountability for spending. Implement sophisticated A/B testing methodologies and conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies. Develop and refine attribution models to accurately measure the effectiveness of different marketing channels. Collaborate closely with content, product, and creative teams to ensure alignment and leverage synergies. Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies in performance marketing. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, or a quantitative field. A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in performance marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Demonstrated expertise in managing large budgets and driving significant growth through paid search, social, display, and affiliate channels. In-depth knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other relevant analytics platforms. Strong understanding of various attribution models and experience implementing them. Proven ability to analyze complex data sets, derive insights, and translate them into actionable strategies. Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills. Experience in the e-commerce or tech industry is highly preferred. Familiarity with the Nigerian market dynamics and consumer behavior is a plus. Benefits
