The Technical Superintendent ensures the seaworthiness of vessels to meet company, charterer, and class standards while delivering a continuous reduction of the annual maintenance budget by managing the planned maintenance activities, dry docking, and hands-on problem-solving on technical issues for all the company's Vessels.
Qualifications & Experience:
· 10 - 15 years' experience as a Marine Engineer.
· Previous experience as a Technical Superintendent is a mandatory requirement
· Offshore sailing experience is an added advantage.
· A Technical Superintendency license is required for this role
· Valid COC is an added advantage.
Knowledge, Abilities & Skills Required:
· Extensive knowledge of the marine, tugboat, oil transportation, and shipping industry
· Knowledge of vessel maintenance systems and equipment
· Capable of making decisions and giving directions to facilitate prompt service delivery
· Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive communications
· Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions
· Ability to develop and implement appropriate procedures and controls
· Must be physically fit enough to board vessels, barges, and tugs at sea and in port.
