Role Description The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions in accordance with clinical protocols and best practices. Daily responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring vital signs, assisting with diagnostic procedures, and documenting care accurately in patient records.
The nurse will collaborate with physicians, laboratory staff, pharmacy personnel, and dental care providers to ensure coordinated and holistic treatment. Additional tasks include patient education on treatment plans, health promotion, and follow-up care, as well as maintaining infection prevention standards and participating in emergency response when needed. This is a full-time, on-site role based at DGS Medical Limited in Kuje, requiring consistent presence during scheduled shifts and active participation in the clinical team.
Qualifications
• Current registration and license as a Registered Nurse with the appropriate regulatory body, with evidence of good standing.
• Strong clinical nursing skills in patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs.
• Experience in working within multidisciplinary teams and coordinating care with physicians, laboratory, pharmacy, and dental services.
• Solid knowledge of infection prevention and control, patient safety protocols, and basic life support or advanced life support.
• Proficient in maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation and using electronic or paper-based medical records.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate patients and families on treatment plans and health practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and handle high patient volumes while maintaining quality of care.
• Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and continuous professional development; prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting is an advantage.
