About the Role Our client, a rapidly expanding manufacturing firm, is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Human Resources to lead their HR operations in Kaduna . This is a critical on-site position responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive HR strategies that support the company's growth objectives. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, and HR compliance. They will play a key role in fostering a positive and productive work environment, ensuring alignment with organizational values, and attracting and retaining top talent. This role requires a strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and the ability to effectively manage an HR department within a manufacturing setting. Full-time, in-office presence is essential for this role to effectively engage with employees and manage on-ground HR functions. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with organizational goals and legal requirements. Oversee the full talent acquisition lifecycle, from recruitment and selection to onboarding. Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes. Develop and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs. Implement and manage performance appraisal systems and employee development initiatives. Ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulatory requirements. Develop and deliver HR training programs to enhance employee skills and organizational effectiveness. Manage HR records and maintain employee data integrity. Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Serve as a strategic advisor to senior management on all HR-related matters. Requirements Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 4 years in a leadership role. Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices. Demonstrated experience in talent management, employee relations, and compensation and benefits. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in HRIS software and other HR management tools. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is required; a Master's degree or relevant HR certification (e.g., CIPM) is a plus. Strong ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Experience working in Kaduna or a similar industrial hub is advantageous.
