Candidate must have previous experience in Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) or in the energy sector related to LNG. This is mandatory.
Job Purpose/ Key Objectives
• The Corporate Finance & Accounting Specialist (LNG) will support the financial management of the Company by maintaining accurate financial records, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, providing financial analysis, and assisting with commercial and strategic initiatives.
• The role combines accounting, financial reporting and business analysis responsibilities, providing exposure to project development, financing activities and broader commercial decision-making within a growing LNG business.
• The role will work closely with finance teams across the wider Group, supporting intercompany activities, group reporting requirements, financing initiatives and the sharing of best financial practices.
• The role is expected to evolve as the Company grows and may assume increased responsibility for finance, commercial and business support activities over time.
Principal Accountabilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting
• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist in the preparation of annual statutory financial statements.
• Liaise with external auditors and support annual audit activities.
• Support compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements and Company policies.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
Accounts Payable, Receivable & Cash Management
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Track outstanding receivables and support collection activities where required.
• Maintain supplier records and supporting documentation.
• Assist in the preparation and review of payment schedules.
• Support cash flow monitoring and short-term cash planning.
• Ensure invoices, contracts and supporting documentation are appropriately maintained and filed.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Track actual performance against budget and prepare variance analysis.
• Prepare financial reports and management information to support business decision-making.
• Support the preparation of Board, management and investor reporting materials.
• Assist in developing financial dashboards and performance reporting tools.
Commercial Analysis & Project Support
• Support the development and maintenance of financial models for LNG and energy-related projects.
• Conduct financial analysis, scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis.
• Support the evaluation of commercial opportunities and business initiatives.
• Assist in the preparation of materials for financing discussions, investor engagement and strategic projects.
• Conduct market, industry and competitor research to support management decision-making.
• Support project economics assessments and business case development.
Project Finance & Fundraising Support
• Support the development and maintenance of the project finance model, including debt sizing, DSCR and CFADS analysis, under the direction of Group finance leadership.
• Assist in the preparation of information memoranda, lender presentations, teasers and other materials for project financing and capital-raising activities.
• Support lender, investor and adviser due diligence processes, including data room management, document collation and responses to information requests.
• Assist in the review and analysis of term sheets, financing proposals and financing documentation, preparing summaries and comparative analysis for management.
• Support the tracking of conditions precedent, covenant obligations and reporting requirements under financing agreements through to financial close.
• Help coordinate inputs from legal, technical, insurance and commercial advisers, and maintain financing workstream trackers and action logs.
Group Finance & Intercompany Support
• Liaise regularly with finance teams across CGP and other Group entities.
• Support intercompany accounting, reconciliations and reporting activities.
• Assist with group reporting and information requests.
• Support the implementation of consistent financial controls, policies and reporting standards across entities where required.
• Contribute to cross-functional finance projects and initiatives across the Group.
