Our client is a multi-sector group of companies with portfolios in consulting, government advisory, energy, technology, manufacturing, investment banking and finance.
Role Description  The Associate – Investment Banking & Financial Advisory is responsible for supporting the origination, structuring and execution of investment banking and financial advisory transactions across debt and equity capital markets, structured finance and other strategic financing initiatives.

He/She provides technical and commercial support throughout transaction lifecycle, from deal origination and financial modeling to regulatory approvals, investor engagement and transaction close.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or another quantitative discipline.

• A Master's degree will be an added advantage.

• Relevant professional certifications such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, CIS or equivalent.

• 5–8 years' relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, capital markets or financial advisory.

• At least four completed Nigerian capital markets transactions in an execution capacity, spanning at least two instrument types such as; bond, commercial paper, equity, or structured/securitised/tokenised product

• Proven experience managing or supporting SEC registration processes and NGX/FMDQ listing requirements from application through admission.

• Demonstrated professional relationships with Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs), bank and custodian treasuries, insurance companies or asset managers, established through credible transaction experience.

• Advanced financial modelling capability, including bond pricing, discounted cash flow (DCF), debt service coverage ratio (DSCR), comparable valuation and securitisation cash flow modelling.

• Sound knowledge of the Nigerian capital market regulatory framework, including SEC, NGX, FMDQ, PenCom and NAICOM requirements, and their impact on transaction execution.

• Familiarity with credit rating methodologies and the regulatory and custody considerations applicable to tokenised financial instruments.

• Experience supporting development finance initiatives and blended capital structures, including co-financing, guarantees and concessional financing arrangements, will be an added advantage
