Salary Band: ₦600,000 – ₦800,000

Job Purpose

Our client is seeking a Senior PMO Officer to support the planning, coordination, and monitoring of strategic and digital projects within the bank’s yearly project roadmap. The role ensures projects are tracked, documented, and delivered on scope, timelines, and budget, while also coordinating RUN activities in collaboration with the RUN Manager. The PMO Officer will work closely with business units, IT teams, department heads, project sponsors, and external partners to drive operational efficiency, financial inclusion, and customer experience.

Main Responsibilities

Project Governance: Establish and maintain PMO standards, methodologies, templates, and tools. Ensure adherence to best practices and alignment with strategic objectives.

RUN Coordination: Support RUN processes including change requests, solution management, incidents, release management, testing, documentation, and communication.

Project Monitoring: Track project performance, milestones, budgets, and deliverables. Maintain dashboards and produce status reports for management.

Stakeholder Management: Act as central coordination point between senior management, business units, IT, risk, compliance, and external partners. Provide updates to executive committees and facilitate decision-making.

Risk & Issue Management: Identify risks, delays, and bottlenecks. Maintain risk logs, escalate critical issues, and support mitigation actions.

Capacity Building: Train and coach teams on project management standards, promote agile/hybrid delivery approaches, and foster a culture of change and innovation.

Key Skills Required

Technical & Functional: Project management, coordination, digital banking/fintech knowledge, financial inclusion awareness, data analysis and reporting.

Tools: Advanced Excel and PowerPoint, Smartsheet, Jira, Power BI.

Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, stakeholder communication, problem solving, attention to detail, leadership, and ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.

Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.

3–6 years of experience in project coordination, PMO roles, or digital transformation.

Experience in banking, microfinance, fintech, or digital financial services is highly desirable.

Demonstrated experience in digital transformation or technology-driven projects.

Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum) preferred.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Successful delivery of strategic and digital projects in line with yearly roadmap.

Project completion rate on time and within budget.

Timely and accurate reporting on project progress.

Quality and completeness of project documentation.

Effective stakeholder coordination.

Adoption of PMO standards across departments.

Improvements in operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
