Company Description Dukes Neurosurgery and Specialist Hospital is a multi-specialist facility in Lagos, Nigeria, dedicated to delivering world-class neurosurgical and specialized surgeries.

The hospital offers specialist services including brain and spine surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, vascular neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, endoscopic urology, general and surgical oncology, ENT, plastic and aesthetic surgery, and neuro-rehabilitation and physiotherapy, supported by cutting-edge technology and active research.

Role Description The Nursing Officer is a full-time, on-site role based at Dukes Neurosurgery and Specialist Hospital in Lagos. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing neurosurgical and other specialist procedures, including admission assessment, pre- and post-operative care, and ongoing monitoring of vital signs and clinical status. The Nursing Officer will administer medications and treatments as prescribed, maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation, and collaborate closely with neurosurgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to support individualized care plans.

The Competence and Post-basic qualification determines the level of entry. The ideal candidate should have atleast 5 years post qualification. Specialized Nurses in dialysis and ICU are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements/Qualification

i. BNSC (should have finished the one year compulsory service)

ii. Post- Qualification in ICU or Nephrology/Dialysis

iii. At least 5 Years experience

iv. Good Communication skill

v. Ability to work in multidisciplinary Team

vi. Ability to lead a Team

• in emergencies or high-pressure situations.

• Proficiency in basic computer use and electronic medical records for documentation and information management.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nigeria, with current practicing license; additional certifications in critical care, perioperative nursing, or neurosurgical nursing are an advantage.

• Prior experience in neurosurgery, surgery, critical care, or specialized hospital settings is highly desirable.
