Position Overview

This position is for a dedicated and compassionate nurse with keen interest in medical diagnostics. The Outpatient

Nurse will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care and support to patients in our outpatient clinic, while also

contributing expertise in diagnostic procedures and assessments. As an integral member of our healthcare team, the

Outpatient Nurse will collaborate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure the

delivery of comprehensive and patient-centered care.

Essential Job Functions - Clinical Care

● Delivering compassionate support, and assistance to patients and families with utmost confidentiality.

● Provide emotional support and educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans,

medications, immunizations, laboratory procedures, and self-care techniques.

Nursing Operations

● Conduct client registration and assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, chief complaint

evaluation, and diagnostic screenings.

● Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assisting practitioners with medical procedures.

● Administer routine and specialized immunizations, medications and treatments to patients of all ages as

prescribed by physicians, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.

● Perform wound care, dressing changes, and other minor care procedures as required.

● Perform Vision Screening, ECGs, Spirometry, Audiometry and other diagnostics procedures including simple

to more complex laboratory and imaging procedures under supervision.

● Monitor patients' responses to immunizations, treatment and diagnostics interventions, reporting any

significant changes or concerns to the attending physician.

● Maintain meticulous and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient assessments, diagnostic findings,

immunizations, treatments administered, and follow-up care plans.

● Maintain treatment rooms and immunization inventory, monitor storage conditions, and ensure proper

handling, storage, and disposal of medical products in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

● Coordinating the daily administrative activities, including scheduling, receiving and transferring phone calls,

patient check-in and check-out, and patient medical record maintenance.

Methods & Standard Operating procedures (SOP)

● Participate in quality assurance activities, including cold chain management, wastage monitoring, and adverse

event reporting.

● Assist in the development and implementation of procedures, policies and protocols to ensure compliance with

regulatory standards and best practices.

● Ensure regulatory compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for

patients, visitors and staff members.

● Provide continuous training, support and guidance to medical assistants and other staff members.

● Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, continuing education programs, and quality

improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery.

● Serve and protect the firm by adhering to professional standards, healthcare policies and procedures, federal,

state, and local requirements, and other pre-specified standards.

External Relations:

● Engage in direct sales activities, including but not limited to office visits, conference exhibitions, dinner

meetings, etc.

● Build strong relationships with industry professionals, competitors, vendors and other personnel

● Contribute to the reputation of the organization by entering and achieving professional awards.

● Maintaining a strong brand identity for the organization.

Requirements

● Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution discipline.

● Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license

● Valid CPR certification

● Minimum of 2 years clinical practice experience.

● Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems

● Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families,

and healthcare team members

Pay: ₦120,000.00 - ₦150,000.00 per month
