Our Client, is a dynamic, Nigerian-owned player in the downstream oil and lubricants sector, committed to delivering high-performance, affordable, and technologically advanced lubricant solutions to automotive, industrial, and marine customers across Nigeria.
They are executing an aggressive nationwide expansion to build one of Nigeria’s strongest lubricant distribution networks, with a clear target of ₦5 billion in monthly turnover. Central to this ambition is the appointment of exceptional Regional Sales Managers—visionary leaders who will own end-to-end sales performance, distributor development, and market dominance in their assigned geopolitical zone. | This is not just a sales role—it’s a Launchpad to national leadership.
Role Purpose
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is a P&L-responsible executive tasked with driving exponential sales growth, transforming distributor capabilities, and establishing its employers as the #1 lubricant brand in their region. The RSM will build, lead, and scale a high-performance sales ecosystem—including dealers, distributors, mechanics, and field reps—while embedding a culture of accountability, market intelligence, and customer obsession.
This role is designed as a fast-track leadership pipeline: high-performing RSMs will be considered for promotion to National Sales Head within 18–24 months.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth
o Own and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (aligned with PVN’s ₦5B/month national goal)
o Develop and execute a region-specific Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy leveraging local market dynamics
o Analyse market share trends, competitor moves, and pricing strategies to capture growth opportunities
2. Distributor & Dealer Network Transformation
o Recruit, onboard, and manage a network of 30–50+ distributors and key dealers per region
o Implement Employer Distributor Excellence Framework: training, KPIs, credit management, inventory planning
o Drive digital adoption (e.g., order tracking, e-payments) across the channel
o Resolve channel conflicts and ensure brand integrity at point of sale
3. Field Force & Team Leadership
o Lead, coach, and develop a team of Area Sales Managers and Field Reps
o Instil a high-performance culture with clear goals, daily accountability, and recognition
o Conduct regular field visits to coach reps and engage mechanics/workshop owners
4. Market Intelligence & Strategic Input
o Map and engage mechanic, auto-parts, and fleet operator networks—key lubricant decision-makers
o Provide real-time insights on regional pricing, product demand, and competitor activity to HQ
o Recommend new product launches or pack sizes based on local customer needs
5. Compliance & Brand Stewardship
o Ensure all sales activities comply with Regulatory bodies and Company quality standards
o Uphold highest ethical standards—zero tolerance for bribery, fake invoicing, or channel abuse
o Protect employer’s brand reputation through professional conduct and customer excellence
Qualifications & Experience
o HND/BSc/MBA in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
o Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in lubricant, FMCG, or industrial sales in Nigeria
o Proven track record of managing regional dealer/distributor networks (min. 30 partners)
o Demonstrable success in achieving double-digit sales growth in competitive markets
o Strong understanding of Nigerian downstream oil regulations (SON, DPR, etc.)
o Proficiency in digital sales tools (CRM, WhatsApp Business, Excel dashboards)
