About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to lead our market expansion in Kenya. This role is pivotal in building and managing a high-performing distribution network for our key product lines. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record in channel development within the building materials sector.

Key Responsibilities:
• Channel Strategy & Development: Design and execute the national channel strategy to expand market reach and drive sales growth through distributors and dealers.
• Distribution Management: Recruit, onboard, train, and manage a network of distributors to achieve sales targets and ensure optimal market penetration.
• Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors and major construction projects.
• Sales Leadership: Lead the local sales team, set clear targets, and provide coaching to achieve performance objectives.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.

Key Product Focus:
• Water-Based Powder Coatings
• Mortar & Powder
• TPO Roofing Membranes
• Other construction auxiliary materials

Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of sales experience in the building materials/construction chemical industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven success in developing and managing distribution channels in the East African market, specifically in Kenya.
• Strong technical understanding of products like waterproofing coatings, cementitious products, and roofing systems.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Swahili is a significant advantage.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
