Job Description
An experienced Accountant is needed for this role. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the organization. Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue, and bank deposits.
Assist in the preparation and management of budgets to ensure efficient financial planning and control. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue generation. Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Assist in financial audits by providing relevant documentation and explanations to auditors. Prepare regular financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for management and stakeholders. Investigate and explain discrepancies between budgeted and actual financial performance.
Handle payroll activities, including calculating salaries, deductions, and tax withholdings. Monitor and control expenses to ensure they align with the budget and company policies. Use historical data and financial trends to forecast future financial performance.
Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline financial processes and maintain data accuracy. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations in financial reporting and transactions. Manage cash flow by monitoring accounts receivable and payable and optimizing cash reserves.
Provide financial advice and recommendations to management for decision-making.
Candidate must have Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting or related field.
Professional certification is an added advantage.
