Job Description
Responsibilities
• Develop recruitment plans based on departmental staffing needs.
• Advertise vacancies, screen applications, and shortlist candidates.
• Conduct interviews and coordinate the hiring process.
• Verify candidates' qualifications, references, and guarantors.
• Prepare employment contracts and appointment letters.
• Coordinate employee onboarding and orientation.
• Foster a positive and professional work environment.
• Address employee grievances and resolve workplace conflicts.
• Counsel employees on performance and conduct issues.
• Promote teamwork, fairness, and employee engagement.
• Organize staff welfare and recognition programmes.
• Develop and implement the hotel's performance appraisal system.
• Monitor employee performance and productivity.
• Coordinate probation reviews and annual appraisals.
• Recommend promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, or terminations.
• Support managers in setting performance goals and improvement plans.
• Identify training needs across all departments.
• Organize induction programmes for new employees.
• Coordinate regular customer service, leadership, health and safety, and technical training.
• Maintain training records and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Encourage continuous learning and career development.
• Administer salaries, allowances, bonuses, and employee benefits.
• Ensure payroll information is accurate and submitted on time.
• Monitor staff attendance, leave, overtime, and shift schedules.
• Recommend competitive compensation strategies to retain employees.
• Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws and employment regulations.
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
• Ensure confidentiality of employee information.
• Promote compliance with the hotel's code of conduct and ethics.
• Investigate employee misconduct and disciplinary cases.
• Issue warning letters and coordinate disciplinary hearings where necessary.
• Ensure disciplinary procedures are fair, consistent, and properly documented.
• Advise management on employee relations and legal matters.
• Promote workplace health and safety standards.
• Coordinate employee medical examinations where required.
• Support staff wellness initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Assist with emergency response planning and staff awareness.
• Maintain employee files, attendance records, leave records, and personnel databases.
• Prepare monthly HR reports for management.
• Monitor staff turnover, absenteeism, and recruitment metrics.
• Manage employee confirmation, promotion, and exit processes.
• Develop HR strategies aligned with the hotel's business objectives.
• Advise management on workforce planning and organizational development.
• Support succession planning and talent management.
• Promote a high-performance culture throughout the hotel.

Requirement
• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 7 years work experience.

Reporting Line:
• The HR Manager typically reports to the General Manager, Managing Director, or Hotel Owner, depending on the hotel's organizational structure.
