Job Summary The Human Resources Manager is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. The role oversees recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, compensation, and compliance with labor laws while ensuring a positive and productive workplace culture within the tech/media environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment and Talent Management
• Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified tech and media professionals.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle including job postings, screening, interviews, and onboarding.
• Ensure staffing levels meet operational needs.
• Develop succession planning and talent retention strategies.
2. Employee Relations
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns and workplace issues.
• Promote a positive organizational culture aligned with the organization's values.
• Handle disciplinary procedures, conflict resolution, and grievance management.
3. Performance Management
• Design and implement performance appraisal systems.
• Support department heads in evaluating staff performance.
• Develop improvement plans and reward high-performing employees.
4. Training and Development
• Identify staff training needs across departments including tech, media and administrative teams.
• Organize professional development programs and workshops.
• Ensure continuous learning and compliance with tech/media standards.
5. Compensation and Benefits Administration
• Develop competitive salary structures and benefits packages.
• Manage payroll coordination, incentives, and employee welfare programs.
• Ensure fairness and equity in compensation practices.
6. HR Policies and Compliance
• Develop, review, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws and tech/media regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
7. Organizational Development
• Support management in workforce planning and organizational structure.
• Promote employee engagement and productivity initiatives.
• Implement strategies to improve staff retention and morale.
8. Health, Safety, and Workplace Standards
• Ensure a safe working environment consistent with tech/media regulations.
• Implement workplace health and safety policies.
• Monitor compliance with clinical and administrative operational standards.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
• Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage.
• Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, or HRCI) preferred.
Experience
• Minimum of
5–8 years HR experience
, preferably in technology or media industry.
• Proven experience managing HR functions including recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
