Our client, a reputable private family, is seeking a highly competent, clean, and dedicated Live-In Home Teacher/Nanny to support the early learning and overall care of their toddler and assist with an infant. This role is suitable for someone experienced in early-years education and passionate about child development.

Role Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Providing structured, age-appropriate learning that aligns with reputable Nigerian Pre-Nursery/Nursery standards.
• Creating a safe, stimulating, and organized learning environment.
• Supporting daily nanny responsibilities with gentleness, professionalism, and maturity.
• Engaging the toddler in intellectually stimulating activities that boost speech, reasoning, creativity, and motor skills.
• Assisting with care for two children and maintaining consistent routines.
• Living on the premises BQ accommodation provided and committing to a minimum of two years.

Minimum Requirements
• OND, NCE, or B.Ed in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or Social Sciences any of these are acceptable and common within the Nigerian job market.
• At least 3 years proven experience as a nanny, governess, early-years teacher, or home tutor.
• Solid understanding of developmental milestones and what is taught at Pre-Nursery/Nursery levels phonics, numeracy, storytelling, colors, shapes, fine motor skills, early writing, comprehension, etc..
• Ability to support speech development through interaction, conversation, and structured activities.
• Must be clean, well-presented, agile, organized, emotionally stable, and genuinely passionate about children.
• Ability to create and implement creative, sensory, and brain-stimulating learning activities.
• Must be willing to live in and work with minimal supervision.
• One weekend off monthly.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver structured daily lessons aligned with early-years learning expectations.
• Prepare weekly learning plans and engaging educational activities.
• Assist with feeding, hygiene, and general nanny duties.
• Maintain a warm, respectful, and attentive approach to the children.
• Track developmental progress and encourage communication and speech.
• Provide additional support for infant care when required.

Compensation

Salary will be discussed during the interview and is dependent on experience and competence.
