Job Title: Project Engineer – Oil & Gas
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to plan, coordinate and execute engineering projects within agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards. The successful candidate will work closely with technical teams, clients and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and coordinate project plans, schedules and deliverables.
• Coordinate engineering and technical personnel throughout project execution.
• Monitor project progress, milestones, timelines and deliverables.
• Identify project risks and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
• Monitor project quality and ensure engineering work meets required standards.
• Prepare project progress reports and technical documentation.
• Manage communication with clients, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Support project budgeting, cost control and resource planning.
• Review project performance, profitability and utilization.
• Ensure project activities comply with company procedures and applicable safety requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve project efficiency and operational performance.
• Maintain accurate engineering drawings, specifications and project records.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years' experience in Project Engineering, preferably within the Oil & Gas or Power sector.
• Project Management certification is required.
• Strong experience in project planning, coordination and execution.
• Knowledge of budgeting and cost control.
• Proficiency in at least one of Microsoft Project, Primavera or AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and quality control.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Desirable
• COREN certification.
• HSE certification.
