About the Role

Paras Energy is hiring a Senior HR Officer in Lagos, Nigeria (full-time, on-site). The Senior HR Officer will support the implementation of HR strategies, ensuring effective talent management, employee engagement, and compliance with labour laws and company policies. The role involves driving HR operations, providing guidance to employees and managers, and contributing to the overall success of the organization through people and culture initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

• Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning: source, assess, and onboard top talent; support workforce planning and succession planning.

• Employee Relations and Engagement: manage employee relations, foster a positive work environment, and drive engagement initiatives.

• HR Policies and Compliance: ensure adherence to labour laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

• Performance Management: support performance review processes and facilitate development plans.

• Learning and Development: coordinate training and development programs to build employee competencies.

• HR Operations and Administration: manage HR records, documentation, and reporting; ensure rewards and benefits are well managed.
Collaboration: work closely with management, Legal, Finance, and other departments to support business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.

• Minimum of 6-7 years' experience in HR, preferably in the power, energy, or FMCG industry.

• Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar).

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Ability to develop and use relevant HR core performance indicators.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

• High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
