We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Associate, Accounting to join our team in Victoria Island, Lagos. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, practical experience in financial reporting and tax compliance, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple assignments and deadlines.

Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts, and other financial reports.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank, receivables, payables, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Review accounting records and ensure transactions are properly classified and accurately recorded.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and review tax computations and statutory tax returns, including VAT, WHT, PAYE, and Companies Income Tax.
• Support statutory audits and liaise with auditors, clients, and relevant stakeholders where required.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and recommend appropriate adjustments.
• Monitor clients’ accounting records and provide guidance on accounting and reporting matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for audits, tax reviews, and financial reporting.
• Assist with financial analysis and provide relevant insights to management.
• Supervise and review the work of junior accounting staff where required.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ACA is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of Nigerian tax regulations and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
