We are looking for an experienced Lead Trader – Nigeria to drive deal origination, business development and trading desk supervision within the Nigerian oil & gas market.
Key Responsibilities:
• Originate new trading opportunities across crude oil, refined products & gas
• Build and manage relationships with clients, suppliers & counterparties
• Negotiate and close commercial deals within approved limits
• Supervise Senior Traders and Trade Analysts
• Monitor market pricing, regulations and trading opportunities
• Manage commercial risk, counterparty exposure and credit terms
• Identify arbitrage and hedging opportunities
• Ensure smooth trade execution, documentation and compliance
Key Requirements:
• 7–10 years of Oil & Gas Trading experience in Nigeria
• Strong deal origination & business development experience
• Established network of Nigerian clients, suppliers and counterparties
• Knowledge of NMDPRA & NUPRC regulations
• Understanding of hedging and arbitrage fundamentals
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business or related field
• Strong negotiation, commercial judgement and team leadership skills
