Job Summary
The Sales Executive (Merchandising & Field Sales) supports the Business Development Officer by executing sales strategies on the field, managing product visibility, engaging customers, and driving sales conversions. This role focuses on day-to-day sales execution, client engagement, product placement, and market intelligence to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Field Sales & Merchandising
• Execute sales plans and targets assigned by the Business Development Officer.
• Visit assigned customers, outlets, partners, or client locations regularly.
• Promote company products and services through direct engagement and demonstrations.
• Ensure proper product display, branding, and merchandising standards where applicable.
• Monitor stock availability, usage, or service adoption at customer locations.
Sales Support & Lead Conversion
• Follow up on leads generated by the Business Development Officer and marketing team.
• Assist in converting prospects into active customers through on-site engagement.
• Support pricing discussions and negotiations within approved guidelines.
• Collect orders, service requests, or subscriptions and ensure proper documentation.
Market Intelligence & Feedback
• Gather market information on customer needs, competitor activities, pricing, and trends.
• Report customer feedback, objections, and product performance to the Business Development Officer.
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities during field visits.
Customer Relationship & After-Sales Support
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and channel partners.
• Provide basic after-sales support and ensure customer concerns are promptly escalated.
• Follow up on deliveries, installations, or service activations to ensure customer satisfaction.
Reporting & Coordination
• Submit daily and weekly field activity and sales reports.
• Maintain accurate records of visits, sales, and customer interactions in the CRM or sales tracker.
• Work closely with the Business Development Officer to align field activities with growth objectives.
Requirements & Qualifications
• OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in sales, merchandising, or field sales (tech, FMCG, or services preferred).
• Comfortable with fieldwork, customer visits, and target-driven environments.
• Basic understanding of sales processes and customer engagement.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
