Job Description
About Korrency
Korrency is a cross-border remittance company. Through our mobile app, African diaspora customers in Canada, the UK and Europe send money home to Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and other African countries quickly and safely. Korrency Exchange Inc. is registered with FINTRAC as a money services business and with the Bank of Canada as a payment service provider. Most of our team works remotely from Nigeria.
The role
You will own Korrency's marketing strategy and its results. You will set the plan for how we win customers in Canada, the UK and Europe, decide where the budget goes, and own the numbers that show whether it is working. You will lead our lifecycle and content specialists, and direct the freelance designers and creators we work with. We are looking for someone who is strong in at least one discipline, ideally performance marketing, and capable across the rest.
What you will do
• Own the marketing strategy, channel mix and quarterly plan, and the targets attached to them.
• Own the marketing budget: how it is split across channels and markets, and the return expected from each.
• Plan and run paid acquisition on Meta, Google and other channels, including audience and creative testing.
• Own the funnel from install to first transaction and repeat use, and run experiments that improve conversion at each step.
• Own marketing analytics: campaign tracking, attribution, cohort analysis, and the weekly and monthly reports the business runs on.
• Run our referral programme and partnerships with diaspora communities and creators.
• Lead, set priorities for and develop the lifecycle and content specialists.
• Work with product, engineering and customer experience on improvements to the customer journey.
• Track competitors' pricing, positioning and campaigns, and turn what you learn into ideas that set us apart.
What we are looking for
• 5 or more years in growth or performance marketing for a consumer mobile app, including owning a budget.
• Depth in at least one discipline (performance marketing preferred), with working skills across lifecycle, content and brand.
• Experience leading a small team or managing specialists and agencies.
• Strong analytics. You build your own cohort and funnel analysis in Mixpanel, Amplitude, GA4 or similar.
• A record of improving conversion rates, not only volume, with numbers you can talk through.
• Hands-on campaign management on Meta and Google, including creative direction and testing.
• Clear written reports, delivered on schedule.
• B.Sc. or HND in any discipline, with NYSC completed or exempted.
• Your own laptop, reliable internet and power backup for full-time remote work.
Nice to have
• Experience running campaigns aimed at audiences in Canada, the UK or Europe.
• Fintech, remittance, payments or other regulated financial products.
• A referral programme you designed that produced measurable growth.
• Familiarity with African diaspora communities and the channels they use.
• Working knowledge of Customer.io, Braze or a similar lifecycle platform.
About the engagement
• Independent contractor engagement, full-time hours, fully remote.
• ₦700,000 to ₦1,000,000 per month, depending on experience, paid monthly in Naira. As a contractor, you invoice monthly and handle your own tax and pension.
• Regular overlap with Canadian (Toronto) business hours.
How to apply
With your CV, include a short note on one growth programme you owned from start to finish: what the numbers were when you took it on, what you changed, and what they were when you handed it over.
Korrency welcomes applications from people of every background.
