Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Monitor accounts payable, receivable, expenses and cash flow.
• Prepare invoices, payment schedules and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor pharmaceutical inventory values, purchases, stock movements and variances.
• Reconcile inventory records with accounting records and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare budgets, financial forecasts and management reports.
• Ensure timely payment of suppliers, vendors and other obligations.
• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax, accounting and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with payroll preparation and statutory deductions where required.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial records and documentation.
• Establish and maintain effective financial controls to minimize errors, fraud and financial losses.
• Provide management with financial analysis and recommendations for better cost control and profitability.
• Maintain confidentiality of company financial information.
Requirements:
• HND in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• ICAN qualification or part-qualification is an advantage.
• 3-5 years' relevant accounting experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, FMCG or distribution.
• Good knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of inventory and financial accounting.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy and confidentiality.
