Position: Supermarket Sales Representative

SPAR Nigeria is seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Supermarket Sales Representative to join our team in Abuja.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers, promoting products, maintaining attractive product displays, and contributing to providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
• Welcome and attend to customers in a polite and professional manner.
• Assist customers in locating products and provide accurate information about products and prices.
• Arrange and replenish products neatly on shelves and display areas.
• Monitor product availability and report low-stock or damaged items to the supervisor.
• Ensure shelves and assigned sales areas are clean, organized, and properly presented.
• Assist customers with product selection and make appropriate recommendations.
• Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally and escalate difficult issues when necessary.
• Support stock-taking and inventory-related activities.
• Maintain knowledge of products, prices, promotions, and store policies.
• Work closely with other members of the sales team to achieve departmental targets.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and customer-service standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
• Minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO; an OND or equivalent qualification is an added advantage.
• Previous experience in supermarket, retail, sales, or customer service is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Good numerical and basic record-keeping skills.
• Must be courteous, presentable, reliable, and customer-oriented.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Must be willing to work in Abuja, FCT.
