HR MANAGER The Baddie Lab | Lekki Phase 1, Lagos | On-site
Schedule: Full-time during probation, then 3 days a week
Pay: ₦380,000 to ₦420,000 per month (net, after PAYE)
ABOUT US The Baddie Lab is a luxury American medspa with locations in Atlanta and Lagos. We are HEFAMAA-certified and known for medical weight loss, IV nutrient therapy, laser and skin treatments. We are also a technology-first medspa. We build our own apps and use AI and automation across the business in ways most workplaces have not tried yet. We need an HR Manager who is sharp, very tech savvy and ready to build the people function of the future.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will lead all HR work for our Lagos team and report directly to the Managing Director. This is a hands-on, on-site role. You will set up systems, build digital HR tools, hold standards with fairness, and bring fresh ideas that make our team want to stay and grow with us. You will work full time during your probation period. After probation, the role moves to 3 days a week on site.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Build and improve HR apps, forms, dashboards and automations, using AI tools and no-code app builders
• Use AI every day to work faster and smarter across recruitment, onboarding, policies and reporting
• Move HR processes onto digital platforms and keep all records paperless
• Create and run fresh employee retention programs
• Build a strong company culture and plan team building events, staff celebrations and recognition programs
• Run full-cycle recruitment: job posts, screening, interviews, reference checks and offers
• Manage onboarding and offboarding: contracts, NDAs, guarantor forms and digital staff files
• Write, update and enforce HR policies, SOPs and the staff handbook
• Track attendance, leave and lateness, and prepare monthly payroll inputs
• Handle employee relations, queries, disciplinary steps and grievances in line with Nigerian labor law
• Run probation reviews, performance appraisals and confirmations
• Plan and lead staff training and regular staff meetings
• Advise management on staffing, structure and HR risk
• Keep all staff and client information strictly confidential
WHAT YOU NEED
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field
• At least 4 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or manager role
• Strong working knowledge of the Nigerian Labour Act and PAYE payroll basics
• Experience writing policies, contracts and HR letters
• Firm, fair and discreet, with excellent written and spoken English
• You must live on Lagos Island (Lekki, Ajah, Victoria Island, Ikoyi or nearby). We will not consider applicants who live on the Mainland.
• Exceptional tech skills. You learn new software fast and can build apps, forms and automations yourself
• Hands-on experience using AI tools at work, with real examples you can show us
• A sharp, creative mind with fresh, practical ideas for retention, culture and team building
NICE TO HAVE
• A portfolio of apps, tools, automations or AI workflows you built
• CIPM membership, or SPHRi or CIPD certification
• HR experience in healthcare, beauty, hospitality, tech or luxury service
WORK SCHEDULE
• During probation: Tuesday to Saturday, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, on site. Sunday and Monday off.
• After probation: 3 days a week on site, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.
